Waterford, CT

Perched on a bluff overlooking the serene Niantic River, this shingle style cottage has seen a multitude of renovations and additions over the years but perhaps most transformatively with this latest project which included the infill of a previously open front porch for interior living space and the reorganization of the first floor to create an open plan capturing views to the water from every space.  A new Master Suite including an entry foyer, bedroom, office, walk-in closet, and bathroom captured what used to be an exterior covered porch.  New Kitchen, Dining, and Living areas were carefully planned and detailed to maximize connectivity between each space and between spaces and the water.  The end result is virtually an entire first floor free of walls and columns.  The Master Suite and main living spaces successfully enjoin the variety of client tastes, styles, and product choices into an eclectic yet clean and modern aesthetic.
